Father Joseph Kundek

Father Kundek was the first distinguished citizen of Ferdinand, Indiana, to be selected to start the Comer of Distinguished Citizens in the Ferdinand Library. He was born 24 August, 1810 in Ivanich, Crotia (then Astro-Hungary) now Yugoslavia. His father died when he was one year of age. He and his brother were raised by his mother. (more)

John Herman Beckman

John Herman Beckman, Ferdinand Historical Society's 2nd Distinguished Citizen, placed in Kundek Corner at the Ferdinand Library. He was a tobacco retailer, Planning Mill Proprietor, General Store and Machinery Merchant. He was also an avid promoter of the community of Ferdinand. (more)

Florenz Kitten

Florenz Kitten is the Ferdinand Historical Soceity's 3rd Distinguished Citizen placed in Kundek Comer at Ferdinand Library. Florenz Kitten and the town of Ferdinand were born in the same year.
