St. Ferdinand Catholic Church Ornament

The Wollenmann Home Swiss Chalet style home, built in 1903 St. Ferdinand Catholic Church was begun in 1846 by the founder of Ferdinand, Reverend Joseph Kundek, and completed in 1848. Additions to the original structure were added in 1866. The church doubled in size and the tower was added at this time. St. Ferdinand Church is located on the High Chapel Reserve to serve as the center of the German community of Ferdinand. This massive undertaking is constructed mostly of locally quarried sandstone.
